CPSL sound and video production - Key to fundraiser success

A great night was had by all at Sacramento County’s Bradshaw Animal Shelter during their annual fundraising event, “Whiskers And Wine”. T.E.A.M. (Teaching Everyone Animals Matter) non-profit Vice-Chairperson and event producer, Stephani Scotch, contracted with California Pro Sound And Light’s, Scot Stevens again this year to provide the amazing sound and video production that was key to last years success. To quote Scotch “Thank you for being an amazing vendor/sponsor and supporter of T.E.A.M. We couldn’t pull this event off without you!!!!”
Pivotal to this year’s event successfully raising over $70,000 were the clear, easy to understand, voices of the evening’s hostess, KCRA’s Melanie Hunter, and auctioneer, KLM Auction’s Rachel Britten, as they entertained and guided the distinguished guests on a journey through all of the fabulous silent and live auction items. Both Rachel and Melanie commented on how good they sounded! Rachel asked for a business card, stating “I have done a couple of events lately with horrible sound and the sound was so good tonight! We need a sound vendor we can count on to get it right”. Our QSC rental sound system, available to anyone, provided that sound! Of course there is more to setting up a six speaker system than just plugging them in and that expertise is left to owner, Scot Stevens.
Another big factor in the success of the auction, according to Scotch, was the large video screen that held up and performed flawlessly even though we had some serious afternoon gusts. The video screen provided visual representation of the items guests bid on, as well as presenting the video for “Fund-A-Need”, a special event that raises funds based on participants desire to help animals without a “reward item”. The touching video showcases actual cases throughout the year where the funds provided by Whiskers And Wine and Fund-A-Need made the difference between life and death for many animals. The screen also serves as a canvas to thank the larger individual and business donors who help to fund this event. We used our 12 foot rear projection video screen framed with stage truss and hoisted 18 feet into the air with out truss lifts to showcase 1080p video from our 5.5K lumen projector. It was stunning!
CPSL’s Stevens also provided the easy listening soundtrack for the evening’s events. From Dean Martin and Sinatra to Bruno Mars and Andy Grammer, the complements about the music flowed as freely as the wine. “This is perfect music for our guests” Scotch said.
